Why NISAAB

Built around the way FBR actually taxes a payslip

Most calculators just spit out one number. We show you the ladder you're standing on, the slice taxed at each step, and a slip you can actually keep.

Slab-by-slab clarity

See exactly how much of your income sits in each of the eight FY 2026–27 brackets, not just a lump-sum figure.

Compare tax years

Toggle between FY 2026–27 and FY 2025–26 to see exactly how much the new Finance Act saves you.

Downloadable PDF slip

Generate a clean, shareable calculation slip for your records, your HR team, or your accountant.

Nothing leaves your browser

Every calculation runs client-side in JavaScript. Your salary figures are never sent to a server.

Visual tax split

An interactive Google Charts donut shows the tax-vs-take-home split at a glance.

Plain-language guides

Our blog explains filer status, deductions, and slab changes in language built for payslips, not law books.

Process

Three steps, and it really is that short

Unlike a real FBR filing, this takes under a minute — because that's all a salary estimate should ever take.

01

Enter your gross monthly salary

Add any recurring deductions like provident fund or Zakat if you want a more precise taxable figure.

02

Pick your tax year

Default is the current FY 2026–27. Switch to FY 2025–26 any time to compare against last year's rates.

03

Read your slip, download the PDF

Get your monthly and annual tax, take-home pay, marginal bracket, and a full slab breakdown — plus a PDF to keep.

Common questions

Before you calculate

Still unsure about something? Our blog covers filer status, deductions, and slab changes in depth, or book a consultant for anything specific to your payslip.

No. Salary withholding is calculated the same way for filers and non-filers. Filer status matters for withholding tax on property, vehicles, and banking transactions — not on your monthly salary deduction.

Yes, the basic exemption threshold of Rs 600,000 annual income (Rs 50,000/month) is unchanged under the Finance Act 2026.

The 9% surcharge that applied to salaried individuals earning above Rs 1 crore a year has been abolished entirely from FY 2026–27. It still applied in FY 2025–26, which is why our comparison mode shows it for that year only.

No. NISAAB is an independent estimation tool built on the publicly notified FBR salary slabs. It's designed for quick, private estimates — always confirm figures with your payroll department or a registered tax practitioner for filing purposes. See our Terms for details.
